General Aims the Association

 

Bring together all therapists related directly with children at all ages including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists as main members and as honorary member of medical doctors include pediatric neurology specialists, pediatric psychiatrists, psychologists, child development and education  specialists additionally, neurologists, brain and nerve surgeons, gynecologists, orthopedic surgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, nurses, special education teachers.

• Working on introducing, developing and generalize of the Neurodevelopmental Therapy (Bobath), providing recognition of Bobath therapists at national and international areas.
• Create, protect and raise standarts of the Bobath (NDT) therapy in cerebral palsy and suchlike developmental and neurological problems and making scientific studies in that subject.
• Working on recognition and understanding importance of targeted diseases in community. For this aim, making collaboration with official and private institutions. 
• Making relations with international institutions related with Bobath-NDT (European Bobath Tutors Association-EBTA etc.) for membership, collaboration and directing aids according to necessities.
•  Recognition and analysis the issues within the scope of association in the country, publicizing book, booklet, journal, education material for this aim. 
• Educate Bobath- NDT therapist as effective in cerebral palsy and related neurological disorders.
• Organizing, conferences, seminars and congress for knowledge transfer within association members to and making standards parallel with world countries; making collaboration with official and private institutions.   
• Organizing congress, symposium, course and suchlike meetings to inform the community about childhood disabilities and its rehabilitation, recognition the activities via journal, book, booklet and online and electronically areas.

On 2023, the name of the association was updated as BOBATH THERAPISTS ASSOCIATION. The abbreviation is (BTD).
